Every year, on the 24th of June, Inti Raimi, the feast of the Sun, is celebrated in Sacsayhuamán. During the Inca period, during the nine days of celebrations, dances and sacrifices were made.

Sol is a wooden cupboard. From the central handle, made of stone or gold leaf, grooves radiate as a tribute to the sun.
